At Eco Pools, we make the pool installation process as seamless and straightforward as possible with our innovative “Plug & Play” concept. This approach ensures ease of installation and efficiency throughout the project. Here’s a step-by-step guide to how we bring your dream pool to life:
1. Design & Planning
We begin by collaborating with you to design the perfect pool that fits your vision and requirements. Our team provides detailed plans and handles all necessary permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with local regulations and making the planning process as smooth as possible.
2. Excavation
Our team starts by excavating the area where your pool will be installed. For optimal installation:
- Excavation Size: The basin excavation must exceed its size by 6 inches. For rectangular models with a flat bottom, excavation can be done without a template before the basin’s delivery.
- Depth Requirements: The depth of the excavation should exceed the depth of the basin by 6 to 10 inches. For clay soil, plan for a 10-inch depth, and for sandy or rocky soil, 6 inches will suffice.
- Additional Considerations: Excavate the location of the skimmer and the dewatering well higher than the basin. When the basin is installed, its final level must exceed the adjacent terrain by 6 inches.

3. Preparing the Stone Bed
Next, we prepare a stone bed at the bottom of the excavation site. This provides a stable and level foundation for the pool, helping to ensure long-term durability and performance.
4. Setting Up the Pool
Once the stone bed is ready, we proceed with setting up the pool. During this stage:
- Careful Placement: Take care not to damage the piping and the skimmer when lowering the pool into position.
- Check Support: Ensure the basin is well supported on the bed of crushed stone. Use a level (transit) to verify the height and level of the basin.
- Filling the Pool: After confirming the basin is properly positioned and level, begin filling the pool with water.
5. Piping Connection
With the pool in place, we connect the necessary piping. This step involves:
- Simple Connection: In one simple step, we connect the piping to the filtration system, suction pipe, and push pipe.
- Pre-Tested Piping: No adjustment is required, as all of the pool piping has been carried out and tested beforehand in the factory, ensuring a seamless and reliable connection.
6. Installation of the Dewatering Well / Manhole Well
We then install the dewatering well or manhole well as part of the pool’s infrastructure. This component helps manage water levels and ensures proper drainage and functionality.
7. Backfill
Finally, we complete the process by backfilling around the pool. This involves carefully filling in the surrounding area to secure the pool in place and create a smooth, even surface.
